Adding an image into a template page such as you home page this code helps to look for the image relative to where your template/theme files are. So it will look in your themes image folder for the image.

I used it on a FAQs page but had to get rid of the href=# and just left the A tags without anything to link too because every time I clicked to open the page would jump to the top. This was the only issue I could find. Even works in IE6.
